Miss Hollywood...Jr of course!

Funny thing happened a while ago...I was in Aubrey's room feeding her on the chair and Brooklyn comes in. She is playing and creating her usual mess which seems to happen in every room! Ha. Well I turned over to look at her and she was standing in the curtain, mumbling something. I couldn't really understand all her words. I asked her what she was saying and she said it louder for me...
"I tried to warn you Rapunzel, I really did. This world is dark and cruel. If there is any ray of sunlight it destroys it..." and then she shut the curtains.

I could NOT stop laughing...Oh man is she my daughter or what?! So guess who does this scene every time we are in Aubrey's room? Yep, each and every time. I just giggle and smile. I love this girl.

Aubrey loves her silly sister...

My Uncle Baye called me Miss Hollywood. {As he would pierce his lips together and make kissie faces}. I loved it! Well, I think Brookie is Miss Hollywood Jr. Such a great privilege and honor to be called that ;)

Brooklyn Lydia

Almost 2 weeks ago we celebrated Brooklyn's 3rd Birthday! May 25th. It feels like I blinked and here she is 3 now. On her actual birthday we went out to lunch with Eli, then got her cousins {Tay Tay and Kaylee Poo and yes that's what she calls them} and went to The Bouncz House and then out to ChickFilA. Brookie had a blast!

Everyone called her and sang to her on her birthday and she loved every minute of it. We made a pit stop at Krispy Kreme so she could get her donuts. Honestly this girls loves donuts and ate about 2 right away but I will be honest and say part of the reason we went was I was craving some too. Should we as parents celebrate keeping our children alive and well for 3 years?! To say "we did it!!". Well, I did. Judge me or don't judge me, those donuts were delish!

Our girl is getting bigger and becoming more and more of her own little person. We love her sensitive spirit and curiosity to know as much as she can. I can't wait till she starts preschool and gets excited to learn more by others. I can never get enough of her love for animals and for her love of her family. Brookie can and will tell you who her friends are and it's so refreshing to hear from her sweet voice those who are already impacting her life in a positive way.

Brooklyn Lydia we love and adore you! I love how you comfort anyone when they are feeling blue. If Aubrey is crying in the back seat you always tell her "Aubrey, I right here. It's otay". Or how if Mommy is upset you hold her and say "It's otay Mommy, you sad?!". You have such a loving heart and know when someone needs lovin. You are very smart and learn things quickly. We are learning you are becoming more and more like a parrot, both in good and bad ways. {Cindy, she keeps saying the word Crap and connecting it with you...haha}

Brooklyn you entered the world with so many already loving you and you have only increased that number in the past 3 years! You comforted me with just holding you as a baby and you still comfort me when I hold you today. I hope you always know how much you are loved and how special you truly are.

Happy 3rd Birthday my Egg Roll!!

Love my girls

I hate when I don't post for a while. I feel like I have missed so much and since this is my journal I feel bad to my girls for not posting more. So it is catch up time.

I don't remember posting any Christmas pictures so the other week I took some pictures of Brookie playing in her Jeep that Santa brought her. She loves it and I love watching her laugh and enjoy yourself! She is really good about sharing too because she lets anyone have a turn.

The other Day when I was taking the pictures she attacked me in the jeep...it was pretty funny and she thought she was hilarious. She is getting to be such a hoot, not like she wasn't before!

I love both my girls. The other day I recorded Brookie getting Aubrey to laugh. I recorded about a minute of it but they continued for several minutes before and after!
It is now my ring tone so if I don't pick up right away it is because I am enjoying their laughter and having a debate to either pick up or continuing to listen. haha

Brookie is talking more and more and sounds pretty clear for her words. But don't get her to say Despicable Me because it is different every time she says it. She loves that movie right now.

Aubrey isn't our chunk-a-monk anymore really. She is thinning out.
She is getting into the grabbing stage and I have got to watch her when I hold her. She is scooting on the floor so I imagine it won't be too much longer before she starts getting around faster! She is growing up WAY TOO FAST!!

These 2 girls love each other and I love them! We enjoy our days together and I am so blessed to have them in my life.

Beach Bash

Brooklyn's Beach Bash
May 22nd 3-5 pm

Here are some before the party pictures:

Big THANKS to my friend Cherise for making the cake!! I usually would do it but this year I wanted a little less stress in my life so I turned to her, SO glad I did!

During the party Dan was kind enough to take pictures for me so I could run the games and bouncer! Thanks Dan!

We started off with our digging for prizes

I put numbers 1-4 in the sand and each kid had a chance to dig for one. Whichever one they pulled that's the prize they got! I think it was well liked from all the kids, younger and older!

Shhh....we rigged it so Brooklyn could win chalk...she wouldn't stop playing with them before the party!

Then we had the younger kids get on the bouncer

Brooklyn LOVED it! We got the bouncer earlier that day so Brooklyn, Daddy, and I got to have some fun together...Hey there is NO weight limit so no worries we didn't Pop it!

While the little ones were bouncing we had the older kids decorating cookies

This was the table after all the kids decorated cookies! They definitely had fun with the sprinkles!!

Then the big kids turn, Brookie didn't want to get off so I let her stay on and she didn't have an issue with being bounced around by them!

We ended the party with gifts and singing...Thank you to all who got her something, she was definitely spoiled and loves it all.

I thought the party went great and the kids had fun! It was nice having so many kids over and enjoying them having a good time.

Brooklyn got to stay up till 7 jumping and playing with cousins but by then she was shot, she slept in an extra 3 hours Sunday morning! She talks about her party...bouncing, cake, cookies, bouncing...

I can't believe our little girl is going to be 2 tomorrow! She has filled our lives with SO much love, laughter, and joy that we can't imagine our family without her!!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we Love you oh SO much!

Our little trooper....

Brooklyn has been struggling with health the past two weeks. At first it was teething, she was getting her top two teeth. She then began to have a runny nose and a small cold. I honestly didn't think much of it because there isn't really anything they can do for a infant with a cold. Well that went into a deep cough in her chest in which wasn't affecting her until yesterday morning when she was coughing so hard she threw up. We called the doctor and they scheduled us to come in this morning.

This was the diagnosis: She was teething which then gave her a cold, which gave her Bronchitis which then caused her to get a ear infection and meanwhile she is getting her top 4 teeth, not just the 2 that we thought. No wonder my little girl has been so clingy?! Poor thing.

We filled two prescriptions today for her Albuterol for her coughing which is 3 times a day for however long it lasts for and Amox which is penicillin based for her ear infection which is 2 times a day for 10 days. Hopefully our little girl can get healthy and back to her normal self soon! I am just glad I followed my hubby's advice in taking her in to the doctor.
Mommy won't be so hard on our little one next time she is clingy!!

Our Cheerleader/Dancer

Brooklyn is trying to find ways to go from sitting up to on her belly and this way seems to be used the most!
I am not sure if she will be our dancer, gymnast, or cheerleader or all of the above!
It's fun to watch her do it! I think this one is a hurkie, she takes after her mother!

Rough Few Days

Man O Man, these past few days have been some tough ones. Brooklyn has been extra clingy and needy and I couldn't figure out why. On Monday Brooklyn had a small fever, Clark noticed that her top gums were puffy and that he could see some white trying to get through. After we figured it was teething we jumped on the baby Tylenol and it seemed to help a little bit. Since Monday her fever went away but she has gotten a horrible runny nose. She has been completely miserable the past few days.

Yesterday she only slept for a half an hour which was painful because every minute she was awake she wanted to be held. I find this situation to be a win-loose one.
Win: she is very cuddly
Loose: she is very cuddly

I didn't get anything done, I couldn't even take a shower so when we got to Nana's house I jumped in one of theirs while Nana watched Boo Boo for me! It was so nice, FINALLY!! Luckily she was good for Nana and Grammy while I was at play practice and she slept on Grammy's chest for an hour, always nice when she sleeps over there because really she doesn't ever sleep there! She has been waking up in the middle of the night with 2 cries then goes back asleep, and she does this through out the night.

Still no sign of the tooth coming through the gums but hopefully soon! Brooklyn and Mommy are suffering!!

Finally!!

I wanted to document this great achivement of my daughter Brooklyn Lydia: she can now sit up by herself!! Wahooo! She hasn't been very good at this and I just thought she would get it in her own time which she did but I decided to help her get there. I was devoted to not take her in stores in her car seat and also spend a good amount of time practicing sitting up with her. She did have a few bumps on her head from falling straight back but she is a Trooper and made it out on top! Its been about a week now and she is doing great!

She is growing up way too fast!! We love you Brooklyn!!

What Lies Beneath!!

So I have never excepted that Brooklyn is extremely chubby, with clothes on she doesn't look too big. Then you get her undressed and it's a whole nother story!! She even has back rolls!! Here is what lies beneath...

We LOVE all of our girl!!

I have to put this post up for Nana (Julie) because we just love Brooklyn's furry vest!! It is super cute on her and we can't get enough of it! Thanks Nana!!
