Weekly Progress Report

Monday: clean the office and fridge {check}
Tuesday: clean the guest room {check}
Wednesday: start baby projects {check}
Thursday: clean playroom and projects {check}
Friday: more projects and get more house decorating done {check}
Also mopped the floors which is definitely a way to get someone to go into labor!
Saturday: gave Jackjack a bath, oh man talk about a bad morning...more projects

I have also been keeping up with a weekly cleaning schedule that helps me do everything else around the house. My mom made it for me in Excel and I turned it into this to hang on my bedroom door, now I can see every morning what I need to accomplish. It's really helped so far! It seems like a lot but I find the more I do what it says the less time I actually spend cleaning because everything is usually already pretty clean.

Looks like this week was a success. Don't think I didn't enjoy myself in between this deep cleaning. This week Brookie and I also hung out with Jessica & Kambry, Ashley and the girls, went to the pool with the Farmer gang, got Ned's {yummmmm} , got Brooklyn her first salon hair cut, hung out with Jilene & Eli, and had fun just the 2 of us.

This week I can't find as much to do, I am definitely getting things done. I will be focusing my time this week on projects and hanging out with Brookie. If any of you wanna come hang out let us know, we will be at home!

Pictures to come on Brookie's first hair cut!

5 more weeks

Can you believe it?! I can't!

I am 35 weeks so I only have 5 more to go and I cannot believe it! It's almost a month away, ahhhhh. I thought I would do a pregnancy update, so here it is.

I have been hit very strongly with the "nesting" phase and this week I accomplished: finishing the dresser, deep cleaning my bedroom, my bathroom, the laundry room, detailed the truck, cleaned part of the garage, caught up on all the laundry everywhere {for some of you you already do this, haha}, and moped the floors. We got help from family to put up 2 new fans in the house and switch some lighting around too, it's been wonderful to get things done. Our car currently won't start so I will be stuck at home for a little while which is gonna be a good thing so I can get more things done and not have a vehicle to distract me to leave. This week my goal is to deep clean the office/craft room which will be one big task, the guest room, and the play area. I plan on cleaning all the toys and repainting my chalkboard back there. I am really enjoying this urge to clean because let's be honest, I NEVER have it!

Baby Aubrey is getting bigger and I find myself getting more uncomfortable. She is kicking and stretching and it's definitely getting too crowded in there. Although for right now I'd rather her to be in there than anywhere else. She has the hiccups at least once a day. I am like my mother and I get heartburn from the simplest of things like water so this better mean she is going to have a full head of hair!! I don't feel like I waddle yet so that's good. At my last appointment I hit the 200 mark at 201. I wasn't too happy about this but then again I have only gained 24 lbs with this baby so far, that's a good thing as well. I need to remind myself that I am not built like anyone else, especially the skinny, petite ladies I know so for me I am doing great.

Brookie now says Aubrey pretty well and whenever we go into Aubrey's room she says "Aubry room", it's pretty cute. She sometimes still mixes up my belly with my boobs and I laugh. She likes to feel her move and says "Aubry sisser". I am still scared on how she will do because she seems to get more clingy to me, maybe she senses something is going to happen. ??

Well, life is good and I've been blessed with another smooth pregnancy! I cannot complain at all. That's about it for now, I haven't been stressed out this past week which is SO nice!! I think cleaning and getting more prepared has really helped with that. So off I go to deep clean my fridge because I just thought of it!

ALL DONE!!

Ok here it is, ALL DONE!! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out, it definitely took a lot of time but it was worth it. Here is the before {even of the wall too}:

{I do not miss the gold paint and the handles...}

And here it is done:

Now it's on to the crib, here's to hoping it won't take as long!!

Dresser befores

Here are some dresser pictures from the working stage...

This thing has definitely taken me some time to get done but I know it will be worth it once it is all finished!

Here is a before picture so you can see how far I've come:

It seems like I've come a lot farther than the pictures give credit, maybe because it's taken a lot of my personal time and the sweat I've put into it can't be seen.

July 4th

For the 4th we headed up to Payson after church on Sunday for their firework show. We met up with my sister Ashley and her family. The girls played, got their face painted and we all enjoyed the fireworks. Brookie loved the boom booms in the sky and still talks about them. She fell asleep half way through it though, she was definitely tired. Here are a few pics, I didn't take that many because I was enjoying the moment and also because I couldn't figure out my camera...still learning.

(another phone picture)
She did great getting her face painted...sat still the whole time and let the lady do her magic.

The fireworks were right above us, it was great.

Brookie right before she conked out!

Hope everyone had a great 4th and remembered who has given their time and lives for this country to be free! Thank you to everyone who has served!!

Hormones or what?!

So, in about a week my stress level has definitely gone down! Yayyy. Last Wednesday night a friend in the ward gave us everything we were lacking as far as baby was concerned. She gave us a car seat, bouncer, bath chair, boppy, another boppy seat for baby, a play mat, toys, and much more. It was such a HUGE blessing for us, we couldn't be more grateful!! I pulled out packed away clothes and did 2 loads of baby clothes so that's ready to go. I also did some deep cleaning in both my bedroom and part of the laundry room; nesting seems to be settling in which is kinda nice because I am getting things done for a change. Last the dresser...I only have about 2-3 more coats of paint to do and I should have that thing back in the house and her clothes put in it, yayyy. So needless to say I am doing much better! Yes there are still several things that need to be done but I am taking it easy and like most of you said relaxing. Although this nesting thing is really getting me to deep clean the house! Can't I do that?!

Thanks for all the encouragement and understanding...I needed to vent. Here's to hoping I will be even more ready for Aubrey in the next few weeks but also enjoying the journey!

A cry of help

How does one prepare for having #2?!
I am completely stuck right now both physically and mentally to prepare for Aubrey to come in 7 weeks!! CRAZY

I am currently still working on her bedroom so nothing is finished. The dresser is torn apart getting repainted, the crib is in the same state as the dresser, her clothes are still in Brooklyn's closet packed away, and we are still no where near ready for this little girl to come! Besides the furniture at a stand still for the moment, so is finding fabric to do the bedding and curtains. I've stopped all bow making because let's be honest I am burnt out of that. I still have to decorate her room once I get everything else done, whenever that will be...

That's the physically not ready, mentally is about half ready. Wait, now it's about 25% ready. I am worried about how Brookie will handle it all. She is such a Momma's girl, not that I promote that in any way, she just is. How will she do when her sister comes and takes up most of my attention?! What kind of fits are we looking at because she has pretty good ones on her own right now! Then, how will I do?! Will I go crazy? Will the house be more of a wreck than it is right now with just 3 of us? Will I keep up with everything?

The questions go on and on, and I am hoping that in the next few weeks I will feel more ready for this girl to come to our home. Clark says he is ready but then again he isn't the one having to do everything once she gets here ;)
{love you honey but it's true}.

How do you prepare for #2?!
